The Best Exercises to Feel Better

I truly find that all the exercises that I do make me feel better, even though my face may say otherwise while I'm doing them! I have a daily routine that I am thankful to have that allows me to move my body, and then in-turn puts me in a better mood! You know that saying, “turn that frown upside down”?? Well, exercises do this and do this well! This being said, there are some that are more specific that boost my mood!
- Walking or running outside! Breathing in fresh air and taking in whatever the weather has for us is still truly the best thing for our minds and is an instant mood booster! I have personally run in weather that may deter others from stepping foot outside, but in the end, that proud moment, that feeling of accomplishment cancels out the sleet and monsoon like weather ;) The air is the best of the best, especially if you get to hit up some of the beautiful local trails! Taking 20-40 minutes (dressed accordingly) will give you that feel good vibe.
- A good pump workout! Hitting up biceps, triceps, chest and legs gives you that “I am ready for the beach” vibe! Anything that is in that 8-12 rep range, is going to create lots of good blood flow. This style of exercise is intended to focus on isolating specific muscle groups and just let those muscles & veins pop up a bit to show them off.
- A quick HIIT session! I like to hit it and quit it some days when I want a quick feel good workout! I know during this time, because it will be under 20 minutes, it is going to cause temporary discomfort for long time gain! I know this will be sweaty, I know my body won't be in its comfort zone, but the feeling you get afterwards is like none other!
Bottom line, any movement is super beneficial! The key here is to move well and challenge yourself in new ways that your body will love you for! Any move that you do is a moment to be thankful for that your body can do these things! Repeat and do not stop!! Your body will thank you!
